Snoreman is made by one person. Mail gets read.

Email [email protected] with anything — a bug, a feature you want, a screenshot of something that looks wrong. You can also use the feedback option in the app's settings screen.

It helps to include your device model, your iOS version, and the app version (shown in Settings).

Common questions

The recording came back silent, or much quieter than expected

Check that Snoreman has microphone permission: iOS Settings → Snoreman → Microphone. Also make sure nothing is covering the mic — a pillow over the phone, or a thick case — and that the phone is close enough to the bed, roughly on the nightstand rather than across the room.

The snore count looks wrong

Open the recording and switch from Auto Detect to Manual Threshold. Drag the threshold and the red marks on the waveform update as you go — too many marks means the threshold is too low for your room, too few means it's too high. This re-scores the night you already recorded, so you can settle it on the spot instead of sleeping on it again.

Re-analyze on the details screen re-runs detection from scratch, which is worth a try before you go manual.

A fan or air conditioner is running all night

Steady background noise raises the floor of the recording. Auto Detect accounts for this, but if the results still look off, Manual Threshold lets you set the bar above the room's baseline yourself.

The recording stopped early

Long overnight recordings need battery and free storage. Plug the phone in before bed and leave a few gigabytes free. If it still stops, email me with the time it started and stopped — that's genuinely useful information.

How do I export a recording?

Open the recording from the list and tap Export Recording. From there you can save it to Files, AirDrop it, or attach it to a message or email — for instance, to bring to a doctor's appointment.

How do I delete my data?

Open a recording and tap Delete to remove it permanently. Deleting the app removes every recording and setting from your device. Nothing was ever stored anywhere else — see the privacy policy.

I want a refund

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, so refunds go through Apple too: visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account. If the app didn't work for you, I'd like to hear why — but you don't need my permission to ask Apple.

Is Snoreman a medical device?

No. It records sound and measures how loud it is. It cannot detect apnea events or diagnose anything. If your snoring is heavy, if you wake up gasping, or if you're tired after a full night's sleep, see a doctor — and feel free to bring a recording with you.
